Les ventes d'albums ont diminué en 2010. Encore une fois. Les ventes ont diminué de 12,7 % comparé à 2009, selon
les chiffres publiés par Nielsen SoundScan.
Porté par Eminem "récupération" au sommet des charts avec 3,4 millions d'exemplaires vendus, le rap est le genre qui a montré une augmentation - à peine 3 pour cent. La country a été relativement forte
- le seul genre de ne pas montrer une baisse à deux chiffres, avec une baisse de 5 % .
Par comparaison, le rock alternatif, classique, jazz, latino et le New-Âge a fléchi de plus de de 20 pour cent.

BAD NEWS

Pour les premières semaines de 2011, les ventes de CD aux USA s'écroulent subitement d'une telle façon, que la justification de l'après Noel, du manque de nouveautés etc ne suffit pas à expliquer cela.

Après le score peu flatteur du plus faible numéro 1 des ventes aux USA pour Taylor Swift, ce record a été battu ... la semaine suivante par Cake.

On sait que la country avait moins baissée mais la nouvelle faible consommation des CD aux USA est une mauvaise nouvelle pour tous.
