Son look décalé, presque de cartoon n'est qu'auto-dérision.  Par le nombre affolant d'albums enregistrés, Dolly Parton reste est une des plus grandes dames de la country de tous les temps. Et elle a un sens de l'humour ravageur. Attention à ne pas la sous-estimer, elle est un formidable auteur de chansons et une redoutable femme d'affaire.

superbe! la configuration parfaite pour ses chansons... j'adore ce show, y a toujours de bonnes surprises. allez fouiller dans les archives...

Oh que oui, là c'est parfait et après son disque de 2005 foireux et son trop pop "Backwoods Barbie" de 2008, c'est bon de la revoir, 7 ans après "Halos and Horns" refaire un passage assez roots et sobre comme ça.

A part ça, les fameux restaurants "CRACKER BARREL" ressorte son dernier disque ...

Images d'archives, interview entre son parc Dollywood ( Tennessee ), New York et la maison de ses parents.

Et à la fin, la grosse surprise pour elle de lui remontrer des images de ses parents chantant avec elle en 1976. Ses 2 parents sont décédés dans les années 2001-2003.

C'est une artiste que je ne connaisais pas. Je ne suis pas fan des artistes de plus de quarante, mes je dois dire que sa musique est trés bonne.

Ah bah moi c l'inverse, je m'y connais peu aux chanteurs de moins de 40 ans. Non, je plaisante, mais la vérité est que j'ai un énorme trou sur les chanteurs de country apparus dans les années 80 comme Garth Brooks etc ...



Dolly Parton a été reçue comme "docteur honorifique" : Doctor of Humane and Musical Letters. Cela s'est passé à l'Université des arts et des sciences de Nashville la semaine dernière.

Je ne sais pas si parmis les centaines, que dis je, le millier de chansons de Dolly des années 60-70, si c'est n'est pas une de mon TOP 5.

Donc une version de Dolly que je ne connaissais pas, dans la plus grande sobriété. Y compris le cadrage de la caméra. Qualité d'image nickel. Et la reprise de Emmylou 8 ans plus tard, aussi avec une belle qualité d'images.


Ce sont définitivement mes 2 chanteuses préférées.
